Synerlink, a Barry-Wehmiller Packaging Systems company, has joined the European Engineering and Hygienic Design Group (EHEDG). By joining EHEDG, a global non-profit foundation and global knowledge-sharing community, the filling and packaging machine supplier will strengthen its ability to identify and apply best hygiene and food safety practices on behalf of its customers.
âFor Synerlink, hygiene is inseparable from the packaging innovation process,â said Fabien Jégo, design manager for Synerlink’s industrial packaging design group. âBefore designing a new filling solution, our engineers must carefully consider hygiene and food safety at every step of the packaging process. EHEDG will increase our perspective in this area.
EHEDG provides members with access to several resources, including guideline development tools, training and education, testing and certifications. These resources will help Synerlink and its customers remain compliant and promote hygiene throughout the production, processing and packaging of food products.
âBy leveraging global industry associations like EHEDG, we can better guide customers through the ever-changing landscape of hygienic food and beverage packaging,â said Jean-Pierre Orenge, Global Head of Product Line. bottle filling products for Synerlink. âThe ability to connect with other equipment manufacturers, food processors, research institutes and public health authorities on these issues is essential. “
The EHEDG is one of the many associations with which Synerlink has partnered to broaden its organizational knowledge on this subject. The company has also joined forces with Praxens, a microbiology laboratory, and the Technical Center for the Conservation of Agricultural Products (CTCPA), a French technical center serving food professionals. Synerlink also has strong links with 3-A sanitary standards and will pursue additional affiliations and certifications throughout 2022.
