The Asian Institute of Digital Finance (AIDF) is a university-level institute of NUS, jointly founded by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), the National Research Foundation (NRF) and NUS. AIDF aspires to be a thought leader, Fintech knowledge center and experimental site for the development of digital financial technologies as well as nurturing current and future Fintech researchers and practitioners in Asia.

We invite applications for the position of Research Associate which will be housed in the Department of Computer Science, School of Computer Science (SoC) under the guidance of Principal Investigator, Professor Liang Zhenkai for the Research Grant ref: NRF/ UP#1, titled: “Security and identity management of digital infrastructure for FinTech services.

We are strongly committed to research excellence in all its dimensions: finding results and fundamental ideas, developing new computational solutions for a wide range of applications, building large-scale experimental systems and improving the well- to be of society. We seek to play an active role both internationally and locally in core and emerging areas of computing and information systems.


The Research Associate will be responsible for working closely with the Principal Investigator and lab members on one or more research projects under the NRF grant. He/she must have experience or interest in at least one of the following research areas:

  • Security
  • Systems and networks

Job requirements:

  • Master’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant work experience;
  • Programming skills in C/C++.
  • Research experience.
  • Experience in the following areas will be preferred
    • Program analysis
    • System/OS kernel development
    • Analysis of audit logs
    • Reliable hardware programming
