PATNA: State of Bihar pollution control Council (BSPCB) has solicited proposals from state institutions engaged in active research to conduct a collaborative study on various aspects of human health and pollution control.
BSPCB President Ashok Kumar Ghosh said the decision to invite proposals for the improvement of human health and the environment was taken during a meeting of representatives from different institutions held at the council headquarters here on Monday.
Integrated research proposals were invited on topics such as the development of innovative technologies and solutions for pollution control, multidisciplinary approach towards the solution of environmental problems and specific studies at the state and regional level
Ghosh said proposals for collaborative research should be submitted by interested institutions within a fortnight. After evaluating these proposals, the BSPCB will forward them to the Central Pollution Control Board, New Delhi for final acceptance.
He said that the BSPCB has also decided to launch a series of conferences on research work carried out by different institutions.
