Ex Libris Hosts First Research Management Advisory Board Meeting

Ex-libris®, a ProQuest company, is pleased to announce that the first meeting of the Ex Libris Research Management Advisory Board took place on 14? ? May 16, 2019. The board is made up of opinion leaders from nine institutions in North America and Europe as well as Ex Experts Libris in research management.

The meeting was co-moderated by Roger Schonfeld, Director of Libraries, Scholarly Communication and Museums for Ithaka S + R. Participants discussed trends in research management and approaches to current challenges, such as ways in which institutions can increase the impact of research activities, improve academics ?? engaging with research information management systems and promoting open access initiatives such as the Plan S initiative for open access scientific publication. The board will continue to provide advice for the development of the Ex Libris suite of research solutions, including the Esploro ?? research services platform.

In addition to holding annual meetings, the Advisory Board will lead discussions and analysis of research-related topics through quarterly videoconferences and other exchanges throughout the year to enable continued collaboration.
